What will you be doing?
In a nutshell you’ll be optimising the profitability of the products this business sells. You’ll be taking the lead for the commercial activity relating to the entire product offering, including analysing pricing to ensure profitability is maximised without compromising market positioning, defining discount and promotional strategies, supporting/leading on large tenders, working closely with the retail network to manage all pricing amendments, building a cost to serve model and anything else that helps to position the business correctly from a commercial perspective. Although this is a home based role, you’ll need to get out to see your key colleagues in various departments, as well as your suppliers and customers so you’ll be expected to travel at least once a week for in person meetings.
